Q: How much are your lessons?
A: Our lessons are $26 per 30 minute lesson.
Q: How old must my child be to take lessons?
A: AVMA provides one complimentary lesson for parents who are not sure if their child is old enough for lessons. If you are interested, please give us a call at 661.946.4668 extension 4303
Q: What curriculum do you use?
A: We do not have a set curriculum that we give to our instructors. Each one of our instructors uses their own preferred curriculums. However, if you have any specific curriculum that you would like for your child to go through, please do not hesitate to let your instructor know!
Q: Where do your lessons take place?
A: Our lessons are given on the campus of Lancaster Baptist Church. Revels building, often used for West Coast Baptist College, is used during AVMA operating hours. Revels has quality rooms that you will enjoy and is sanitized daily for safety purposes.
Q: Are you a vendor for Inspire Charter Schools?
A: Yes! We are an approved vendor for Inspire Charter Schools.
Q: How can I make payments?
A: You can make payments for your lessons in five ways:
- From your invoice through Freshbooks that you will receive through your email.
- Check payments - make payable to AVMA; you could simply hand the check to your instructor during your lessons!
- Cash payments - must be turned into our office located in the Revels building lobby during office hours.
- Online via wcbc.edu/avma-payment.
- If you are an Inspire Charter student, payment is not required from you as Inspire Charter school will cover the fees.
Q: When do I pay for lessons?
A: We use advanced payment for our lesson fees. An invoice will be sent out, to your email on your application, every first Monday of the month and it will be due within 10 days of Invoice delivered day. There will be an automatic $5 late fee that will be added to all invoices that are not paid within 10 days of Invoice delivered-day.
Q: What happens if I miss a lesson?
A: According to our 2020-2021 parent/student agreement form, any lessons that are absent will be credited toward the next month’s lessons. However, if you fail to notify the instructor of your absence within 24 hours before the lesson period, your lesson will not be credited.
Q: Do you provide rental instruments?
A: We do not rent instruments but if you are needing instrumental rentals, please contact Lancaster Baptist School.
Q: Do you teach drums or electric guitars?
A: We do not have instructors for drums or electric guitars.
